Gluteoplasty
The surgery for the gluteal zone, or gluteoplasty, is carried out by placing implants into the patient’s buttocks. The surgery helps improve the general outline of the zone, and produces a few scars, which can be very easily concealed in the intergluteal fold.
You can opt for this operations if your gluteal zone is downfallen, shapeless, flaccid, flat, too fat or simply too big. This procedure is indicated both for men and women. Techniques are the same in both cases, although there are some aesthetic differences. Men want to enhance the outline of the major gluteal muscle, so that buttocks look more muscular.
Women want to get a rounded buttock, and, therefore, a liposuction and a lipofilling are very common, besides the implants.
Implants are made of cohesive silicone gel, they are flatter and more resistant than breast implants, so that they could endure walking, running, jumping, etc.
Implants are located beneath the major gluteal muscle, so it can’t be noticed from the outside. The incision is made in the fold between both buttocks, as low as possible, to conceal it.
Recovery period:
After the surgery the patient has to stay in bed for 24 hours. After that the the patient is allowed to get up, but it is necessary to be very careful at least for one week and not to sit down. Physical exercise must be avoided for 5-6 weeks.
