Breast Augmentation

Surgical Indication:

This is a surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of a woman's breast for two main reasons:

There are several kinds of operations possible. The incision can be made either under the breasts (4-4,5cm long), or round the areola.

Implant installation:

Working through the incision, the surgeon will lift your breast tissue and skin to create a pocket, either directly behind the breast tissue or underneath your chest wall muscle (the pectoral muscle). The implants are then centered beneath your nipples.

Choosing the Implant:

We only use modern texturised implants from widely known producers: Similed, Mentor, MacGan. The type of implant (round or anatomic), its volume, and profiling are chosen individually after consulting the surgeon, as not only do these parameters depend on the patient's desire, but also on the patient's breast anatomic feaures.

After the operation:

One should wear snug compression garment during the postoperative period which is individual (in general - about 2 weeks). After the patient's allowed not to wear the compression garment, it's strongly recommended to wear delicate bras.

Although it has many times been proven that the materials used in implants doesn't induce malignant growth of teli or increase in any deseases, it's still required to consult mammologist in order to ascertain the breasts' condition and shut out the counter-indication to augmentation. While breast augmentation will enlarge the breasts, it will not alter basic defects in breast shape or form. Breast shape depends on many things, including the form of breasts, their distribution on the chest, etc. Thus, the results of mammoplasty may vary. It's recommended to escape pregnancy within 6 months after the operation. Neither do the implants mean that the woan can't breastfeed anymore, nor do they inluence lactation.
